Library workers upset over surveillance cam

News 10 Now | 24 Hour Local News | ALL NEWS | Library workers upset over surveillance cam: "A small security camera is causing a big controversy in Ithaca. Workers at the Tompkins County Public Library are upset they were being watched.

Library Director Janet Steiner suspected money was being taken from the library donation box. Steiner then contacted the Ithaca Police Department, who placed a surveillance camera in a clock radio.

Employees discovered the camera and were not happy. 35 of the library's workers signed a petition and brought it to County Legislative Chair Tim Joseph."
