Court suspends child custody of suburban Detroit murder suspect: "A Macomb County juvenile court referee has suspended Stephen Grant's parental rights.
The hearing came after he was arraigned on charges of first-degree murder and dismemberment of a body in Tara Grant's death.
His two children have been placed under the supervision with the state Human Services Department.
Grant told investigators he killed his wife at their home last month while the couple's two young children were believed to be asleep. The Grants have a six-year-old girl and a four-year-old boy, who have been staying with relatives."
