School taking bids for video surveillance

Sidney Herald - We are your story!: "The Sidney School District has received one bid for video surveillance equipment to be installed at Sidney High School and Sidney Middle School.

Sidney Superintendent of Schools Doug Sullivan said the bid is $25,000 for each school. The bid includes 16 cameras along with other equipment. The school district is still waiting on another bid.

Trustee haven't approved having video surveillance equipment yet, and are only in the process of receiving bids at this point. Cameras are proposed to be located in parking lots and hallways.

'It's something that might be done in phases,' Sullivan said."
