New Haven Register - DMV cover-up alleged after fatal school bus accident: "Two lawmakers charged Tuesday that key state motor vehicles officials staged a 'cover-up' in connection with a scandal over a cocaine-abusing, state-licensed school-bus driver who hit and killed a pedestrian last year.
State Sens. Thomas P. Gaffey, D-Meriden, and Donald J. DeFronzo, D-New Britain said a Dec. 26 DMV internal report failed to disclose that the agency briefly had a policy in place to prevent anyone with a criminal record from getting a school bus driver’s license."
