House fire cause still not known: "The cause of a fire at a rental house on March 2 which displaced a family of four is still undetermined, a fire department official confirmed this morning.
An investigator from the State Fire Marshal’s office at the Michigan State Police post in Gaylord has been called to examine the scene in an attempt to determine a possible cause.
Hancock Fire Department Capt. Mark Dennis said although firefighters contacted the fire investigator at the Negaunee Township post of the Michigan State Police on March 2, that investigator is on personal leave so the investigator in Gaylord was called. It’s expected he will arrive on scene today."
