Wedding Bell Blues: "Infidelity is a touchy subject for any relationship, but generally isn't a reason to call the police upon learning of the 'other' person in a spouse's life.
It's a whole other matter, however, if the spouse decides to marry someone else without benefit of a divorce first. Then it's bigamy, a third-degree felony.
Police were alerted of just such an instance in Sulphur Springs Wednesday afternoon.
The report claims that a 32-year-old Sulphur Springs man married a local woman late last year, despite the fact that he was still married to a Lubbock woman. The man reportedly married the Lubbock woman in July of 2006, and the pair has lived apart for most of that time. He apparently married another woman in Hopkins County in late 2006 without benefit of a divorce."
