Investigator to hang up her gun after 27 years: "While other investigators in the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office switched to Glock semiautomatic handguns years ago, Nadine Reese still carries a clunky, .38-caliber revolver.
'I'm an old-fashioned girl,' she said.
Maybe so, but she certainly set some trends.
In 2003, she became the state's first female chief of county detectives when she was sworn in to serve under Prosecutor Sean F. Dalton.
Today, Reese will hang up her gun after 27 years on the job. She spent the last three years as the prosecutor's top cop, overseeing a staff of 35 officers, as well as investigations into everything from arsons to homicides."
