Herald News :: News :: School district may hire residency investigator: "The school district may hire an investigator to check out questionable student residency claims, instead of contracting with a private investigator or sending district staff members.
The district's policy committee, which includes board members Victoria Eggerstedt, Roger Bonuchi and Linda Johnson, has recommended the board approve the hire, which officials say would save the district money. The school board will likely consider the proposal Monday.
The district receives two or three calls a month about student residency that warrant investigation and are proven legitimate, said district spokesman Tom Hernandez."
